Welcome!

 Welcome to our Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics book study...I am so thankful that you are here! 


By the end of this book study you will: 

  • have a deeper understanding of what thinking classrooms in math look and sound like
  • try some new strategies that will encourage students to take risks and productively struggle
  • discover how some of our colleagues across the district are engaging their students with rich math tasks
  • earn 12 clock hours! 

I hope you find this book to be both inspiring and practical. Feel free to read and respond to prompts at your own pace. You will notice at the top of this page that the chapters have been chunked into 6 parts. Please pause after each part to share an idea or a reflection. As you read our colleagues' reflections, feel free to respond by sharing a comment, insight or interesting possibility. We get better by learning together!
